This could well be one of the craziest projects in Tollywood, given that Mahesh is a class hero and Rajamouli is a mass director. More importantly, Rajamouli’s RRR is a box office blockbuster. So, the stakes will naturally be high on his next with Mahesh Babu.
Now, we are hearing from our reliable sources that a few OTT giants are already coming up with big-money offers for the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of Mahesh Babu – Rajamouli project. Given that this untitled project is one of the most exciting outings from Tollywood, OTT giants, and theatrical distributors will be coming with lucrative offers to seal the deal early, or even before the project hits the floors.
As we reported earlier, Amazon Prime bosses are disappointed with the fact that they couldn’t snatch a sure shot blockbuster like RRR. So, it is only natural that they might go big on Rajamouli’s next. But they won’t be alone. Every OTT giant will be after Rajamouli’s next as he has clearly shown that Baahubali isn’t a one-time wonder and he can make films with universal appeal.
Of late, Disney+ Hotstar, and ZEE5 have also amped up the content acquisition rate and are indeed ready to shell out big bucks.
With the frenzy started already, we can expect Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu project to fetch big bucks from the OTT streaming rights.
