In 2014, we were saddened by the demise of many celebs from the cine industry which included both veterans and young and budding talent. However 2015 also turned out as fateful as the previous year but for a small change. This year out of 15 celebrities who passed away, only one is a young actress and all others are veterans.
Actress Aarti Agarwal’s untimely demise shocked the audiences as she passed away while undergoing treatment for obesity. She is the only one from the younger batch and the rest 14, beginning from the death of director-producer V.B. Rajendra Prasad of Jagapathi Arts (Jagapathi Babu’s father) to senior actor Ranganath’s suicide on 19th December; all are veterans.
The biggest losses in the industry came in the form of the demise of Movie Mughal Rama Naidu, another big producer Edida Nageshwar Rao who made sensible movies with K.Vishwanath, comedians M.S.Narayana, Kallu Chidambaram, Mada Venkateshwara Rao, Manorama, Konda Valasa and senior actors Ahuti Prasad and Bindu Madhavi left this world leaving the cine fraternity in mourning.
Two of the top music directors of our industry Devi Sri Prasad and Anup Rubens lost their father and mother respectively in December this year. The stalwarts of the industry, who had been torchbearers during their hay time left one by one leaving with us their fond remembrances. Despite the Maha Mrutyunjaya Homam performed by MAA, the series of deaths in TFI kept us shocking.
