Big Boss- A Masterstroke Or Misfire For Jr NTR? Well, first of all we have to say, the sudden announcement of Young Tiger NTR hosting big boss came as a surprise. Once, one lets that sink in here is why we think it could be a major masterstroke or a misfire.

Jr NTR is without any doubt a star with a great following. The problem here with Jr NTR has been that it is mostly limited to the masses and there is an urban connect missing. In fact, the star’s last few films prove this and his attempts to attract that segment is obvious. Big Boss show, therefore, helps the star in that department. It is a show that is largely followed by the online junta and masses too, depending on the guests in the house.

The problem with this is the visibility factor. In Telugu, the advantages to a star are high because they are rarely seen. Big Boss is a show that comes regularly and more of the star personality gets revealed. It doesn’t work if one tries to be too polite if one is the opposite it could get repulsive. A perfect balance has to be made. If that’s done there is no looking back but if not, it will be a big misfire which could do more harm than help.

Big Boss and Kaun Banega Crorepati(MEK in Telugu) are the two shows which have successfully completed multiple seasons. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Arshad Warsi, Suriya, Nagarjuna, and Chiranjeevi have hosted these two shows. Only a few were successful. The comparison would be inevitable in Telugu with Megastar but the fresh format would surely give Big Boss an advantage. The real test would come with the sustainability of the show rather than the opening.

Last but not the least, remember, this is the same show where Salman Khan succeeded and Amitabh Bachchan failed. Kichcha Sudeep worked in Kannada and Kamal Haasan begins the journey in Tamil. So, it’s not a question of stardom rather it’s all about personality.
