The Nithiin strarrer Bheeshma is all set to hit cinemas tomorrow (February 21st). It also happens to be a holiday for Shivaratri. Naturally, its impact would be felt on the openings, and that can be seen here.
The bookings are more than decent all over. However, there is a small catch. They are slightly tilted towards the single screens compared to the multiplexes. The former is superb, whereas the latter is a little on the lower side. Overall, it turns out to be decent, though.
The out and out commercial nature of the film, based on the theatrical trailer seems to have generated interest in the masses. They are missing a pure commercial entertainer since the Sankranthi biggies. If Bheeshma manages to engage them, expect a steady run for the movie at the box office.
The balance between the regular mass elements and fresh entertainment would be the key to Bheeshma’s success at the box office. Success here is much required for the lead actor Nithiin. As we know, his last few films have been disappointing at the box office.
Venky Kudumula of Chalo fame directs Bheeshma. Chalo was the debut movie of the director and also the current sensation Rashmika Mandanna. The trade is hoping he is able to repeat the magic and bring Telugu cinema from the slump it is getting into post the Sankranthi festival.
