Bheemla on 25th: Gutsy But Risky DecisionPowerstar Pawan Kalyan‘s Bheemla Nayak has decided to bite the bullet. Dispelling all rumors of a postponement to April 1st, the movie is announced for February 25th release. The announcement has come amid the uncertainty over the 100% occupancy in Andhra Pradesh and the ticket rates.

It is quite clear that Jagan is intentionally delaying both to trouble the movie and with this announcement, Pawan Kalyan has announced that he will not allow to be cornered. Unlike other stars, Pawan Kalyan movies do not have Pan-India reach, hence the prospects of the film in AP are very important.

So this is a substantial risk. In all probability, the Government is not going to allowing 100% occupancy and ticket rates hike any sooner. But then, postponing the film makes no sense. April 1st is the next available date. But that would mean releasing the film one week after the release of RRR.

Given the span of RRR, Bheemla Nayak may even struggle for a proper release. If April 1st is skipped, they may find tough to get another slot with solo release and holidays advantage. Amid all these problems, it makes no sense to hold the movie forever. So, it’s a gutsy call one should say.

But then, given the political rivalry between Pawan and Jagan, the Powerstar can not stay subdued forever hoping for Jagan’s mercy. So this is a good call as far as the politics is concerned and if it is good for the film? – Time will answer.
