As the political battle in Telangana is complete and the results are sealed in the EVMs stored in the strong rooms, punters have began their game about winning candidates and their margins. 100s of Crores are being bet in the city on various candidates. Even some high profile businessmen and politicians are involved in it. The hot favourite seat for Punters is the Malkajgiri Parliament seat where the parties have fielded strong candidates.
Majority are placing their stakes on TDP and BJP’s candidate Malla Reddy followed by Congress, Loksatta and TRS candidates. It is expected that YSRCP’s candidate Dinesh Reddy foiled the show for Congress by biting in to a major chunk of Congress votes. According to betting organizer in Alwal, the lowest bet on TDP’s candidate is Rs 10,000 and the maximum so far went up to Rs 6 lakh. If Malla Reddy emerges as the winner, the money he has placed will be doubled.
Bandaru Dattatreya from Secunderabad is the second favourite of the punters. The other favorite constituencies for the punters are Khairatabad, Goshamahal, Jubilee Hills, LB Nagar, Secunderabad Cantonment, Secunderabad, Musheerabad, Sanathnagar, Yakutpura, Kukatpally, Uppal in the city, Medchal in Ranga Reddy, Huzurnagar, Nagarjuna Sagar and Suryapet in Nalgonda district, Manthani in Karimnagar, Andole in Medak district and the Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha seat.
