Veteran director Bapu and D. Rama Naidu, the Guiness record holder for producing maximum number of films are nominated for the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award, sources have said. Andhra Pradesh Government is expected to send in these recommendations to the government soon. Popular writer and lyricst C. Narayana Reddy and singer Suseela are nominated for Padma Sri award.
AP Government is recommending about 50 members who have immensely contributed to the fields of literature, charity and movies. The final winners will be announced and presented with the awards in Republic day celebrations on January 26, 2013.
