She explained the difference between the dance number and an item number. A dance number gives scope for an actress to perform, but an item number is intended to objectify women by showing her half naked body and sensuous moves.
The actress has gone almost naked in her recent films like ‘Badlapur’ but she says she would never go half naked for an item number for the reasons we mentioned above. She doesn’t like gaining publicity showing a woman half naked in the name of item songs.
