‘Bombhaat’ starring Sushanth Reddy, Chandini Chowdary and Simran Choudary in the lead is going to premiere on Amazon Prime from 3rd December onwards. This is a sci-fi movie that’s said to be inspired by Balakrishna’s movie with director Singeetham Srinivas ‘Adithya 369’.
As a child, Sushanth Reddy felt it cool to watch Balayya’s movie in which people spoke in Telugu in a sci-fi movie. So, their ‘Bhmbhaat’ will have an entertaining structure like ‘Adithya 369’ but will cater to the tastes of the present-day audiences. It’s clear that both movies have time travel as the main theme.
Singeetham Srinivas has his unique style of filmmaking and he has different sensibilities when it comes to subtle situational comedy without separate comedy tracks. Sci-fi movies with time travel didn’t come after 1991 sci-fi ‘Aditya 369’. So, if done differently, ‘Bombhaat’ may pique OTT audiences’ interest.
The movie is going to have a character that sounds similar to Rajinikanth’s Chitti character in ‘Robo’ where Simran will be seen as a humanoid who helps Sushanth Reddy to win his love interest, Chandini Chowdary.
