Boyapati Srinu and Balakrishna’s Akhanda is in the last leg of the shoot. The team has canned high-octane action scenes in Tamil Nadu which reportedly lasted for 80-days. The team is left with only two songs to shoot.
Akhanda was scheduled for release on May 28 but the pandemic took a toll making the film release got postponed. The team is yet to lock the release date and looks like team Akhanda has found an apt date.
Is Akhanda cashing in on the RRR release date? If reports are to go by, then yes. The makers are contemplating releasing Akhanda on October 8. Although team RRR has reiterated that they will stick on to October 13 release date, but the strong buzz has it that after their return from Ukraine, RRR team will announce a new release date in a press meet.
With RRR shifting its release date, Akhanda has plans to take advantage and lock the release date for Dussehra festive season. Well, the move certainly is in favour of Akhanda as it won’t face any competition considering that many biggies have announced their arrival for Christmas and next Sankranthi.
