Telugu Film industry has some interesting projects lined up for Pan-India release. Major, Radhe Shyam, Pushpa, Liger, and RRR are looking at a big release across the country. Then, there is also KGF 2 from the South which is looking at a Pan-India release.
But then, it looks another Lockdown danger is lurking on these projects. North Markets are already struggling to get back on the feet. Now, there are dire sequences in the state of Maharashtra where the Hindi Cinema is located.
The COVID-19 cases in the state are increasing. Already lockdown has been imposed in few districts out there, if the trend continues for the coming weeks then shutdown of theaters is also possible. From 100% occupancy in theaters, we are looking at a complete shutdown.
This will mean the film’s aiming Pan-India release should postpone indefinitely or should sacrifice Hindi markets. We hope things will settle down very soon and the threat will be averted.
