TAM Media Research Pvt Ltd which gives out the data related to TRP ratings of Indian TV channels and programs have released last week figures. SS Rajamouli’s visual wonder, Baahubali which was premiered in MAA TV last week amassed 21.84 TRPs.
The movie is the highest TRP getter this week and also received more TRPs than any film released in the last five years. However it is not the highest in the history of Telugu TV. Nagarjuna’s Sriramadasu with 24 TRPs and Ram Charan’s Magadheera with 22.7 TRPs are ahead of Baahubali in the list.
It is interesting that Baahubali which smashed all the box office records by big margins failed to create similar havoc on Television. Even though it is not of the standards set by Baahubali, 21.84 TRPs is not a small number. Here is the list of movies with highest TRPs:
