SS Rajamouli’s has always been known to go overboard to make his projects one of a kind. His latest undertaking Baahubali is being made on the same terms with budget exceeding those of most movies made in India. Even more amazing is the fact that the film’s budget for visual effects alone has never been heard of; it surpasses those of Shahrukh’s Ra.One and Hrithik’ Krrish 3. The movie being a period action drama, the makers have gone all out to make the film a treat for the eyes.
Producer, Shobu Yarlagadda explains that since there is a lot of complex computer generated imagery in addition to VFX shots being present in ninety percent of the movie, it is natural that the budget will be very high.
Although Rajamouli’s previous films also had great VFX, Baahubali seems to be taking it to a whole new level!
