Just a couple of days to go for the first show of ‘Baahubali 2‘ to be screened in the grand premiere show, we have heard that there is a great confusion and roadblock regarding the release of the magnum opus in Tamil Nadu. While Arka Media Works sold the TN rights to K Productions, they in turn sold the distribution rights to Sri Green Productions.
The latter paid only Rs. 30 crores out of Rs. 47 crores of the agreement. This led to a lot of confusion when both the parties couldn’t come to an amicable solution. Putting a full stop to this, the latest news came out that everything was sorted out for a smooth release in Tamil Nadu.
Whether Sri Green Productions paid the entire amount or Shobu Yarlagadda agreed to cut down on the distribution rights is unknown to us. But as audiences, we are happy that the issue is sorted out and the Tamil version of ‘Baahubali 2’ is going to excite Tamil fans along with exciting us.
