The magnum opus of Telugu cinema created by director SS Raamouli has swept all records across all the territories in India and Overseas. The film has in its opening weekend itself grossed more than 500 Cr as a result.

In the two Telugu states, Baahubali 2 made a sensational 74 Cr share. In Bollywood, the dubbed Hindi version netted 128 Cr in the opening weekend with a share of 72 Cr (Bollywood films have higher entertainment tax compared to Telugu). In Malayalam also it was the same case as Baahubali 2 has gone to set new opening weekend record overtaking Pulimurugan.

In all the territories mentioned above Baahubali 2 has swept all the records in the opening weekend, that is, opening day, highest single day and opening weekend.

One is then left with Tamil Nadu area where Baahubali 2 has got superb numbers but slightly less than the biggest movie Kabali featuring Superstar Rajinikanth. It has grossed little above 30 Cr in the opening weekend.

Not just domestically, internationally too Baahubali 2 has wrecked mayhem with all-time records in all the key areas like the US, UAE, Australia and New Zealand. Overall, as stated above, the gross is more than 500 Cr which was previously achieved in the first week by few Bollywood biggies. If the same trend continues, the trade is hopeful that Baahubali 2 will emerge as highest grosser of all time by the end of the first week.
