The film AWE is releasing tomorrow, and while it may not change any box office equations, there is a lot one can gain by just being in such a project. It is the reason why every star must attempt a film like that at lower budgets, but unfortunately, TFI misses stars taking that route.
Awe is a different experimental kind of film. The problem with movies like these is more often than not they tend to be bad. Just merely attempting a different film or showcasing vast cinematic knowledge with no sense makes no sense. It is the reason why everyone likes to avoid them.
On the contrary when ‘different’ films click, it adds a lot of prestige to the people attached to the project (In this case Nani). The immediate next films of the same artists show a spike in numbers. The problem here is getting the different to be right.
Awe, therefore, is going to be a crucial film. Success might help in starting a successful trend. The bookings are encouraging, and the only issue now is the content, will it connect?
