What is ”Attarintiki Daredhi” about?
Sunandha is a daughter of Multimillionaire Raghunandan (Boman Irani). His daughter Sunandha (Nadiya) loves a lawyer, Shekar(Rao Ramesh) and marries him without Raghunandan’s permission. A furious Raghunandan throws them out. But very soon realizes his mistake but Sunandha refuses to come back to him. After several years, Raghunandhan sends his grandson, Gautam (Pawan Kalyan) to bring her back to him. Gautam changes his name as Siddhu and enters Sunandha’s house as a car driver. Sasi (Samantha) and Prameela (Pranitha) are Sunandha’s daughter. Rest should be watched on big screen.
How is Pawan Kalyan?
Trivikram portrays a typical Pawan Kalyan on screen who is at his best of energy levels. His styling (especially costumes) is very good and comedy timing is spot on. There is no exaggeration to say the movie is his one man show. He comes up with a very matured performance in the climax scene where cries. I’m not afraid to say I couldn’t find a thing to criticize Pawan.
How about Trivikram’s direction and dialogues?
There is no novelty in the story and the treatment is also not fresh. But Trivikram wove the story well with the right ingredients. He got the perfect mix of comedy and sentiment which do not bore the audience at any time. As always, Trivikram’s one-liners were really striking but some appeared artificial with too much of stress on rhyming even in some sentimental scenes. There was a bit of lag in the second half but he managed to bring back the mood quickly.
What about Samantha, Pranitha, Boman, Nadiya Ali, Brahmi and others ?
Samantha and Pranitha appear in meaty roles with some substance. Samantha has very brief role in first half. Both heroines have come up very well and also added the much needed glam factor. Boman Irani makes a decent entry in to Telugu and comes up with a good performance as a rich old man. Thanks to Trivikram for not choosing Prakash Raj for this role. Nadiya is good in the role of ‘Atta’. Rao Ramesh and Mukesh Rishi are adequate. Comedy tracks of Ali as nurse, MS Narayana as assistant Bobby are okay. Posani as money lender needs a special mention as his role is hilarious. Brahmi as Baddem Bhasker makes you laugh and cough. Others are all okay.
How is Dance, Music, Songs and other departments?
Pawan Kalyan impresses with his style of cool steps in most of the songs. First song of the movie ‘Aaradugula Bullet’ could have been shot well. Devi Sri Prasad comes up a good album. All the songs are visually good and some of them are very excellently shot. Back ground score is just about adequate. Prasad Murella’s camera work is too good. Editing by Pravin Pudi could have been better in the second half. The production values of SVCC are good.

Drawbacks?
1. Over dose of sentiment in some parts of the movie.
2. Routine story.
3. Beginning of second half seem to be lagged.

What about its box office prospects?
Attarintiki Daredhi is a perfect combination of some excellent comedy and high emotional values. The movie is expected to work like a charm especially with A center and family audience. It is going to be very big provided there is no external factors disrupting it.
