This week the US BO had two Telugu film releases Nartanasala and PaperBoy. A Fair job was expected from them for the gay role played by Naga Shaurya and the back up given by Geetha Arts for PaperBoy. Well, looks like nothing worked for them.
Both the films bit the dust at the US theaters and the result is already out with just a week’s performance. Going to the numbers, Nartanasala – collected $20,819 from premiers and that looks pretty much it for the film. Well, Thursday added $8,573 to the collection making it a total of $36,951.
Coming PaperBoy, the film collected $1435 from premiers and Friday added peanuts of $514 making it $1,949 total. Apparently, Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts backup made no difference to the film as the content is weak.
Looking at the numbers, both the films will not even recover VPF fees and other administrative expenses. Sigh! another forgettable week for Telugu films in the US.
