Vijay Devarakonda and Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga walked away with all credits of the blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy‘. Heroine Shalini Pandey was an apt choice to play the role she essayed in the movie. Presently, the actress has signed no Telugu film but has okayed two Tamil movies.
The latest one she signed was with Tamil hero Jiiva of ‘Rangam’ fame besides the remake of ‘100% Love’. There seems to be no encouragement for the actress in the Telugu Film Industry. The reason is very obvious. She doesn’t fall under the category of commercial actresses who have that oomph factor.
In fact, she was a complete fit for the role in ‘Arjun Reddy’. But, she didn’t receive as much exposure as the hero and the director had secured in the media. Going by her looks, one thinks that she isn’t the glamorous type and will suit only performance-oriented roles. Hope, she will get a few such roles in Tollywood.
