A lot has been said and discussed the lengthy run-time of ‘Arjun Reddy‘ before release as it was close to 3 hours and 2 minutes. The director was advised to cut short by at least 20 minutes of the movie’s run-time.
Sandeep Reddy argues how he can’t cut short the run-time as one scene is interlinked with the next one. If he cuts short the film as suggested by many, it would have been a super flop. Touchwood! He didn’t listen to any advice and went forward according to his gut feeling.
The kiss shot became a big issue and posters were removed, even. The director is on-target when he said that ‘kiss’ is an emotional expression which is natural. “No matter what, people kiss and it’s an emotion.”
He added, “When we categorise, then comes the dark side i.e., obscenity and adultery,” explained the director who felt hurt when the kissing posters became the butt of controversy. When we respect the emotion of love, kissing scenes won’t be a problem at all, according to the director. He definitely has his point of view when he argues. Sensible Sandeep!
