AP-Temple-bus-tour-2015In a bid to increase the tourism particularly temple tourism in the truncated state, Andhra Pradesh government is planning to introduce an amphibious bus that will cut across roads and rivers of Andhra Pradesh to complete a five-temple tour in less than a week.

The bus would travel 800 km stretch of rivers and roads saving the devotees lot of time. The 50 seater bus will cover Sri Varaha Narasimha Swamy temple at Simhachalam,Sri Veera Venkata Satyanaryana temple at Annavaram, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Antarvedi, Sri Durga Malleswara Kanakadurga temple at Vijayawada, Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna temple at Srisailam and then the World famous Tirumala.

Introduction of this bus is aimed at attracting the high-end devotees especially NRI devotees from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and elsewhere. The project is on the lines of Palace on Wheels tour in Rajasthan which charges 15000 a day but this one will charge significantly lesser.
