Anupama Parameshwaran is one actress who is a bundle of talent but luck not favoring her. Though she had a huge hit in Karthikeya 2 recently, she hasn’t managed to bag films with big banners and star heroes. Her release this week was 18 pages with her Karthikeya co-star Nikhil and even in that film, her performance left everyone impressed to an extent.
Though Anupama is not a Telugu girl, the Telugu audiences have taken to her homely looks. But looks like the girl next door looks are working against her.
If one were to compare her with Nithya Menon, a fellow Malayalee actress, Nithya managed to grab some big-ticket films and got the opportunity to act opposite big stars like Allu Arjun, despite making her debut with Nani. But even she faded out as she lacked the glamor factor which is considered a must for heroines to stay in the race for a longer time.
Many in the industry feel that Anupama lacks the glamour that Telugu audiences love. She is not your quintessential buxom beauty and focuses more on her acting than exposing her skin.
While she had a decent line-up in south Indian cinema and awards to her credit, something is missing which is making her lag behind despite being talented. Looks like she needs to rethink her strategy as far as the Telugu industry is concerned if she intends to grab big offers.
