Telugu Film Industry’s problems seem to be far from over. Recently, we have the industry shut down for shootings for around a month.
The shootings have just started but we are staring at another shut down. The federation belonging to the workers of all the 24 Crafts served a Strike notice alleging disparity in wages.
They are angry with the Council and Chamber proposing wages irrespective of film budgets. They are demanding different wages for films below 6 Crore budget and above 6 Crore budget.
But the Council and Chamber are proposing uniform wages. The Strike will start on 15th and will go on indefinitely if their demands are not met.
The industry biggies including Senior Producer Dil Raju are in an emergency meeting at the Film Chamber to discuss the way forward.
