While theaters have resumed being operational across the country, the OTT fad hasn’t died down and it seems to be the lucrative mode for some. Cashing in on the same, another Bollywood biggie has taken the direct-to-OTT route.
Abhishek Bachchan and Chitrangada Singh’s Bob Biswas is said to go for a direct-to-OTT release. The digital streaming rights are said to be bagged by Zee5. The film is bankrolled by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment.
As the film has big names, it is said that the aforementioned OTT platform has sealed the deal. The makers are yet to announce officially and are now scouting for an ideal date. Abhishek Bachchan essays the role of Bob Biswas, who is a popular character from Kahaani (2012) that starred Vidya Balan.
Bob Biswas is now the spin-off to the popular character from the crime thriller. Directed by Diya Ghosh, the film went shoot got completed by December, 2020.
