Anjali Devi was not honoured well feels industry

Legend actress Anjali Devi, known as silver screen Sita, is no more. She passed away at the age of 86 in Chennai on Monday following some heart-related problems. The vital organs of her body will be donated to Sri Ramachandra Medical College and her final rites will be performed at her residence on Thursday. Reacting to the untimely death, industry veterans feels her loss is unbearable and that she deserved to be honoured.

Industry members feel it’s a shame an actress par excellence such as Anjali was not duly honoured by Telugu industry or government, while Tamil government at least bestowed upon her the Kalaimamani award, highest civilian award of the state. Veterans feel why wasn’t a Padma award given to Anjali when nowadays it’s being given so many actors with very little experience. Everybody felt she deserved a lot more but unfortunately all that she was left with was the love of millions of fans she impressed over the years.

Thousands of fans feel that she might have left us today but she will always remain in our hearts as a quintessential Sita devi. God bless her soul.
