Whenever stars think of working with relatively new directors, they are in two minds. The major concern is that if they can handle a star. Handling a young hero is entirely different from handling a star. Mahesh Babu may have been in a similar mindset when Anil Ravipudi approached him with the script of Sarileru Neekevvaru.
The Superstar trusted him a chance and it ended up as Mahesh Babu being on the Right Side. Anil Ravipudi’s forte is comedy but he stepped out a bit and stuffed the film with ample heroism elevating scenes that appealed to the fans. Be it Dialogues, Action Sequences, and Dances, Mahesh Babu is portrayed as a star altogether different in recent years.
The movie has connected to fans instantly, as a result. Anil proved himself successful in handling a star hero and may have upgraded himself to the Star League. It has to be seen how he plans his career in the coming days. Anil announced the Sequel to F2, F3 a long ago.
It is not yet clear if that movie is going to be his immediate next project. Meanwhile, it is interesting to note that all the four films of Anil before Sarileru Neekevvaru are hits.
