The court issued a stay on the movie release in its previous hearing and went on to say that the Judge would watch the film in his Chamber today to decide on the issue. But the judge did not do that today and posted the next hearing to 9th of this month.

Andhra Pradesh will go out to vote on 11th and a hearing on 9th which is a Tuesday means that the release before the elections may not be possible. The Supreme Court earlier refused to hear the case as it is pending in the High Court. The Apex Court asked the producer to approach them if they are not satisfied with the High Court verdict.

The makers may now approach the Supreme Court once again and it has to be seen if the court entertains the petition at this stage. Lakshmi’s NTR is a politically motivated film bankrolled by YSR Congress leader, Rakesh Reddy. The plan is to hit Chandrababu below the belt and damage TDP’s image in the people.

YSR Congress even deployed its lawyers for the court proceedings. The movie release everywhere across the globe except for Andhra Pradesh. Due to the shoestring budget and curiosity generated by the controversies, the openings are good and the movie emerged as a hit.
