Whenever there is a sequel in the offing, it’s the same director who comes on board, the one who had directed the prequel. But in the case of ‘Guntur Talkies sequel, the producers are looking for another director, probably a popular director.
Though the director, Praveen Sattaru is not retained for the sequel, the principal cast of the film aka anchor turned actress Rashmi Gautam, senior actor Naresh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Raghu Babu etc. will be retained for the sequel as well, with a few more additions like Brahmanandam.
The backdrop of the film is also going to change from Guntur to Mumbai. So, we can’t say that the makers will retain the title as well. More details on the story (a comedy thriller obviously) and the cast and crew of the film are awaited.
