The recent release ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2‘ and the film released a while ago ‘Anando Brahma’ fall into the category of horror comedies. But, the former has stars like Nagarjuna and Samantha and the latter has noted comedians playing the lead and Taapsee in a brief role.
Nonetheless, ‘Anando Brahma’ is ahead of Nagarjuna’s movie by a slight margin. While Nag-Samantha starrer collected $304 K, Taapsee starrer collected $416 K in the US market. This is surprising as Nag and Samantha are bigger stars in Tollywood.
There are several reasons for this. The prominent one is the promotions. Due to Sam-Chay wedding, the promotional activities are neglected to some extent. The second reason is promoting it as a comedy film might have helped it a bit rather than promoting it as a horror comedy. It was Nag’s opinion and we think he is right.
