Anand Deverakonda‘s next is announced. It is titled Pushpaka Vimanam, and it’s going to be a middle-class family entertainer with Anand Deverakonda playing the role of a government teacher. The movie would focus on the middle-class’ take on marriage and life after marriage. Looks like a perfect premise for the junior Deverakonda.
The guy knows his strengths and is not choosing something out of his league. Coming to his choice of films, he seems to be very choosy and playing on his strengths. His debut movie ‘Dorasani’ was based on honour killing and he reprised the role of a lower-middle-class guy with a humble background.
Deverakonda’s second movie was also a non-masala script showing him playing a middle-class guy role and that turned out to be a super hit for him. Now, he is coming back with another non-masala script. For new heroes, it’s easy to overestimate themselves and fall for commercial scripts.
To be frank and also it’s the fact that he doesn’t suit the routine mass entertainer roles and also can’t lift those roles, at this point of his career. Good to see him playing his strengths to the gallery. Good going, indeed!
