Amrutham, the most popular Sitcom ever aired on Telugu Television was revived recently. This time it was telecast on OTT Space. Zee’s Digital Arm, Zee5 premiered the new season from the 25th March as Ugadi Special. LB Sriram took the place of deceased Gundu Hanumantha Rao as Anji.
Only three episodes of the new season were released and since then, there is no squeak about the remaining episodes. The three episodes which have released also failed to create any interest in the audience as the original. So, it is a big disappointment for Amrutham.
LB Sriram gave a-okay feeling even though he may not be a match to Gundu Hanumantha Rao. The episodes released so far does not have the feel of the old Amrutham. The camera work and the entire setup has been missing the middle-class feeling which made Amrutham dearer to the common audience.
It has to be seen if they will come up with something better in the subsequent episodes.
