The theatrical trailer for Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Amigos has been unveiled and it demonstrates that the plot revolves around the coming together of three doppelgänger men.
The trailer starts with the introduction of one of the three characters, which are played by Kalyan Ram and he seems to lead a normal life. Then comes the crooked one who is involved with drugs peddling. He Is introduced as Indian Pablo Escobar.
“We are not friends(the three doppelgängers), we are not brothers, we are just lookalikes” Kalyan Ram says in the trailer and that could be a depiction of the core plot.
While the three lookalikes facet looks interesting, extracting drama that caters to all sections of the audience is a tough task, given the alienating nature of the film.
There appears to be too much emphasis on the drug lord track and it will all depend on whether or not this will strike a chord with the Telugu audience. The rest looks standard.
Amigos is announced for theatrical release on the 10th of February and it is directed by Rajendra Reddy. Mythri Movie Makers are the producers.
