Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is the biggest grosser of the Telugu film industry of 2021. The movie has got a surprising run in the Hindi markets as well. The movie is now arriving on Amazon Prime Video on January 7th. That means after three weeks of its theatrical release.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR was supposed to release on January 7th. The movie is expected to sweep the theaters of both the Telugu States effectively ending the run of Pushpa. So, the makers have agreed to the OTT release after three weeks run.
Amazon Prime Video will make the announcement of the release later today. Sources in the OTT Major tell us that it is going to be January’s first week of release. Usually, OTT platforms time the big films for Friday release. So, it is going to be January 7th.
This has disappointed Allu Arjun fans big time. But Amazon would hope the exploit the craze around the film given that theaters across the country are going to be closed one after the other with Omicron scare gripping the nation.
