After a fantabulous start with triple blockbusters ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Janatha Garage’ and ‘Rangasthalam’ delivering the career-best blockbusters for Mahesh Babu, NTR and Ram Charan, Mythri Movie Makers has tasted its second disappointment in the form of ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’. The first one being Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Savyasachi’.
The fears that were created when the trailer of ‘Amar Akbar Anthony‘ came out became real when the movie opened to a mixed talk all over. Mythri Movie Makers’ next movie is also with Ravi Teja under Santosh Srinivas direction and even that project has low expectations because of the combination of the hero and the director. There is also Sai Dharam Tej’s movie in the pipeline with Kishore Tirumala.
The producers have Vijay Deverakonda in their other production venture ‘Dear Comrade’ and this Bharat Kamma directorial is the only hope to give relief to the production house that suddenly fell into a different zone with the recent two releases. ‘Dear Comrade’ is with a fresh director and one never knows what might come out of it. Let’s see.
