Amala Paul Face Didn't Suit the Character? Out of the ensemble cast of director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvam’ to be made with a whopping budget of Rs 300 crores, Amala Paul seems to have been out of the project and would be soon replaced by another known actress.

Besides the date issues that seem to be the apparent reason, according to a report in an English tabloid, the director felt that her face, to be precise, her present looks didn’t suit the character he had written.

To be frank, Amala Paul is now slimmer, fitter and healthier than she used to be in her earlier days. So, this comment comes as a surprise. Anyway, the big project is the story of Raja Raja Chola 1, one of the greatest Chola emperor who ruled Tamil Nadu.

There are three lead male actors in ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ namely Vikram, Karthi and Jayam Ravi besides several big heroines aka Aishwarya Rai, Keerthy Suresh, Trisha and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

Definitely, it’s a big project that is yet to go on to the floors and the first schedule may begin in Thailand, as per the latest buzz.
