Allu Arjun’s upcoming movie with director Sukumar ‘Pushpa’ is making all the right noises as the makers have already wrapped up the first schedule of the movie in Maredumilli forest area of Visakhapatnam. The movie hasn’t completed 25% of the shooting and that would be covered in the upcoming schedules planned in Hyderabad and then, Kerala.
Meanwhile, there is already a buzz that major OTT players are pitching in for ‘Pushpa’ digital rights and especially, Amazon Prime and Disney Hotstar might be in the race. However, there is a possibility that their own Aha platform might pitch in and bag the digital rights.
Allu Arjun has his home-grown OTT platform Aha and we have to wait and see if Allu Aravind allows his movie to go to another OTT streamers. If Aha decides to bag the digital streaming rights of ‘Pushpa’ it would make a big difference for sure.
It will be a big boost for the regional platform and will also send a signal that Aha is meant not only for small and medium budget films but also for big films like ‘Pushpa’. They have already acquired the streaming rights of Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack’ and if ‘Pushpa’ also falls into their account, there would be nothing like it. Let’s see.
