Allu Arjun has gone for a drastic physical transformation to get into the shoes of his role, Pushpa, wherein he plays the red sandalwood smuggler. Upon the first look, Bunny sent shockwaves for his complete transformation.
The same was iterated by many of his co-artistes in the film, who said that they failed to recognise Allu Arjun on the first glimpse. Now, the style secret of what went behind to get that perfect role of Bunny is out.
The secret was spilled by Preetisheel Singh D’Souza, a celebrated Bollywood make-up artist and prosthetic designer. She is the recipient of the National Film Award for Best Makeup. Away from the usual style of what Bunny was seen in his previous films, for Pushpa he had to sport a scruffy hairstyle, an unkempt beard, and thick eyebrows that made his look believable.
Apart from the number of hours he had waited to put on the greasepaint to get the dark skin tone, those were the secret mantra that went behind Bunny’s look. So far, the first single got released, now buzz has it that makers are likely to unveil a melody as Dasara special.
Directed by Sukumar, the pan-India film is slated for release this year on Christmas. The second part will be released after Bunny completes ICON.
