The film industry is the worst affected due to the COVID. The Telugu film industry has performed better after the first wave but is still struggling after the second wave. The industry is waiting for its first big hit to infuse some confidence in the trade.
Bollywood got that confidence with Sooryavanshi, the Kerala film industry got it with Kurup, and the Tamil film industry has got it with Doctor. But there are not many positive signs for Tollywood till now. November has no chance whatsoever with no significant releases.
In the first half of December, we will have Nandamuri Balakrishna‘s Akhanda and Allu Arjun‘s Pushpa which are potentially good films. These two films have the ability to bring all sections of the audience to the theaters. Particularly the masses will be back.
So, it is either Allu Arjun or Balakrishna. Hopefully, both the films will do well and bring smiles to the faces of the trade. Akhanda is releasing on December 2nd while Pushpa for now, is announced for December 17th release.
