Back then, when Pushpa was released, we have heard and read many stories about how Allu Arjun pressurized Sukumar for the December 17th release. That has got so much negative press as it hampered early US Premieres and also, ensured some unfinished works.
As things stand now, it looks like Pushpa has got a perfect date. Any date after December 17th would have been a disaster. We saw how Shyam Singha Roy’s run is affected due to the issue in Andhra Pradesh. And in the new year, everything has become uncertain.
Films like Bangarraju can afford to release in these circumstances, but no way it is feasible for Pushpa which has 150 Crore riding on it. Allu Arjun‘s decision has come as a major relief for Pushpa. The movie also did very well everywhere except for Andhra Pradesh due to situations not in their hand.
