Kannada star Yash and director Prashanth Neel catapulted to fame upon the release of KGF. The film was released in Kannada and then got dubbed in other languages which gave them the popularity. KGF’s unprecedented success made Prashanth Neel take up KGF Chapter 2.
KGF 2 is done with its filming process and all the post-production things are also wrapped up. The release date is scheduled for July 16. But with the uncertain situations across the nation, many films have been postponed. RRR, the magnum opus scheduled for Dussera release has opted out of race and KGF 2 is no different.
It is rumoured that KGF 2 now may take the slot of RRR release date. But here comes the twist. But the road is still not clear of KGF. KGF 2 is going to have a clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. It is speculated that Sukumar is going to helm Pushpa in two parts, and the first part will be out on Dussera, 2021. Thus Pushpa too opting for Dussera release, it will be a big box-office clash between two big South films.
KGF 2 team is yet to take a call on the release date which plays a key role. With many pan-Indian projects in the line-up, the date is crucial. It is to be seen what KGF 2 team comes up with.
