Allu Arjun is the only current generation hero who has the privilege of being called a star in a non Telugu film industry. It is a known fact that Allu Arjun enjoys a huge fan following and his Mallu fans fondly call him Mallu Arjun. A few years back when Allu Arjun reportedly visited a local mall in Thrissur, no one recognized him but now when he visited the same mall recently, the response from his Malayali fans was simply overwhelming. Arjun addressed his non-Telugu fans and said, “I feel very proud, because it’s not very easy to be liked in another land. I’m not a Malayali, yet you have all showered incredible love on me. It’s very nice of you and I feel honored. It reminds me that I’m not just a Telugu guy, but an Indian.”
Addressing the media and fans, Arjun said that he is very keen on acting in a Malayali film and has even requested young filmmakers to approach him if they have any scripts that suit him. The actor also mentioned that he is a huge fan of Mohan Lal and Mammotty. Let’s hope that the young actor, who expanded his market to the next level with his latest release of ‘Race Gurram’, will soon appear in a Telugu- Malayalam bilingual film.
