Allu-Aravind-Megastar-ChiranjeeviChiranjeevi’s GodFather had a fairly decent opening 5-day run at the box office, thanks to the Dasara holiday season. The film hit the snooze button from Monday and the collections dropped big time.

Just when fans and those involved with the business thought the second weekend collections would bail out the film, it was dealt with a rude shock in the form of Kantara. The Kannada film is said to have dominated GodFather in many areas.

Now, Mega fans are seeing this a bit thing and are firing at Allu Aravind over the same. “Allu Aravind knew full well that GodFather was running in theaters but he still decided to release Kantara in the very corresponding weekend. This is a below-the-belt punch from Aravind” a mega fan commented.

But what needs to be noted is that Kantara is a small Kannada film which had a limited release. It shouldn’t be of any challenge to a Chiranjeevi film. Even citing Kantara, or any other small film as the reason behind the drop in the collections of a Chiranjeevi starrer is humiliating in itself.

In search of reasons to cover up for GodFather which is certain to fall well behind the breakeven target, mega fans have made Allu Aravind their soft target and this isn’t a bright move at all.
