Bollywood had registered multiple magnanimous disasters in the recent past. Ranbir Kapoor and Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus is right up there when it comes to box office disasters.
Cirkus couldn’t even recover a part of the investment and it is regarded as one of the biggest loss ventures of all time in Indian cinema.
Cut to now, the film is headed for its OTT premieres as it is set to premiere on Netflix on the 17th of February. The film released in theaters on the 23rd of December last year and roughly two months later, it is set to premiere on OTT.
Given the kind of reviews and the reception the film got following its theatrical release, there is not much to look forward to as the OTT debut approaches.
After finding two sets of identical twins on the doorstep of his orphanage, Dr. Roy Jamnadas gives them up for adoption to two different families in two different cities. Years later, a comedy of errors ensues when one set of twins decides to visit the city where the other set of twins runs a circus, the plot reads. Can it do any better on OTT? The chances are extremely bleak.
