Ali-interview-on-A-jokesAli as a comedian has been in the industry for 36 years and hence he is in news in one way or the other since long. But recently his comments on actresses seem to be a bit derogatory and hence made headlines. Speaking on the media written stories of Ali’s comments on Samantha and Suma, Ali tried to talk defensive taking help of Sam’s response on his comments.

Ali tried to put the blame on media for writing stories and tried to explain that both Sam and Suma had no problems and reminded how Sam even publicly told that she didn’t mind his comments as he is like best friend to her. Of course, it might be Samantha’s point of view to maintain good relations with people in the industry.

But for the audiences who are watching those programmes, the common feel one gets is that his comments are regressive. He tries to defend himself saying, backstage Suma met him to ask for permission to leave midway during the programme and not for giving him a warning and claims that there is no one in the industry who can give him warning.

May be he has got industry’s support, but is it good to talk obscene language on a public platform? Would anyone really appreciate making comedy at the cost of the dignity of a female? There is a saying ‘A careless word may kindle strife’. Hope Ali better understand this instead of blaming others.
