It looks like Sankranthi Release Date Controversy is Back to Square One. If the buzz coming from the trade is to be believed, Allu Arjun is not keen on releasing his Ala Vaikuntapuramulo on January 12th as planned earlier and is pushing the producers to release it on January 10th, a day ahead of Sarileru Neekevvaru.

Earlier when both the teams were at loggerheads, they sat across the table and decided on the release dates. Accordingly, Sarileru Neekevvaru will release on January 11th, while Ala Vaikuntapuramulo will see the light the next day. But Bunny is super-confident of his film and wants to release it on the 10th for a big opening.

If the movie releases on 12th as planned earlier, Sarileru Neekevvaru will already occupy a significant chunk of theaters which will impact Ala Vaikuntapuramulo First Day Openings. So, Bunny is pushing for the January 10th release. It has to be seen how the makers of Sarileru Neekevvaru releases.

Sources say that the producers of Ala Vaikuntapuramulo are themselves not happy with this proposal as they feel this will dent their credibility in the industry and distribution circles but the stars seems to be adamant. It looks like there is no respite to controversies in the industry even on the eve of New year.
