The Tamil remake of Ala Modalaindi titled Yennamo Yedho opened all over this past Friday in Tamil Nadu. The film stars Gautham Karthik and Rakul Preeth Singh in the lead and was directed by Ravi Thyagarajan. Unfortunately for the makers, the remake has failed to garner response similar to the original. It has been panned universally by the critics and is expected by the trade to be a flop.
All the positives that were present in the original are said to be lacking in the remake. There was absolutely no chemistry between the leads in the remake was the common crib of every reviewer and viewer as well. In the original the chemistry between Nani and Nithya Menen was fantastic and became one of the major reasons for the success of the film. Even the comedy failed to evoke any laughter feel many. With a remake in Hindi too being planned wonder if the Tamil reception of the film is going to have any effect in it going to sets?
