Following the divorce of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, a section of people on social media has been projecting Naga Chaitanya as a villain and Samantha as a victim. There were stories both in Telugu states and in Mumbai that seemed to showcase Naga Chaitanya as the person who pushed the situation to result in a divorce.
Samantha too hinted at it many a time. Thank You was released last year and tanked very badly at the box office. Then Samantha’s Yashoda got released which opened to good numbers and turned out to be a safe bet for the makers.
During that time, fans of Samantha had a field day making fun of Naga Chaitanya saying that he was a much lesser star than Samantha. Akkineni fans had to swallow the bitter pill. But now the time has come for them to give it back.
Yesterday, the much-hyped or rather over-hyped historical Shaakuntalam which is Samantha-centric, hit the box office. Now, the latest reports suggest that the film has turned out to be a colossal flop with shockingly low opening-day collections.
So, the Akkineni fans realized this is the best time for them to take revenge and have taken to social media to mock Samantha that she is not ‘as big as she thinks’ to carry a movie on her shoulders. Well, as they say, revenge is best when served cold!
