When we see the revenues of the two latest films of the star kids which got good hype and positiveness among the trade circles, they have disappointed the audiences big time. Five days collections total of Akhil’s movie in overseas is very poor i.e., $154K.
When a small film like Nani’s ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ achieved a good target by crossing $1 million in overseas, it looked easy for Telugu movies to achieve the mark thereafter. But with the two recent star kids’ movies, once again 1 million dollar mark has become an uphill task to break even.
Finally, it only proves that when the content is the king, even a small hero’s film will capture the market and earn good revenues. Without content, stars and big names can’t alone make a film run.
