Akhil Akkineni, unlike the Star Kids, does not run after Star Director. Somehow, he is fascinated towards Young and relatively out of form director. After working with VV Vinayak, Vikram K Kumar, and Venky Atluri, he is currently working with Bommarillu Bhaskar for his new project.
The movie shooting began recently and the film will release sometime towards the end of the year or early the next year. On the other side, reports are emerging that Awe! fame Prasanth Varma is likely to direct the young hero. They met each other recently and Akhil liked a love story narrated by the director.
Niranjan Reddy of Matinee Entertainments will be bankrolling the project. He is the co-producer of Chiranjeevi – Koratala film. Prashanth Varma who made a sensational debut with Awe! immediately delivered a dud with his next project, Kalki with Rajasekhar. He is licking his wounds and is keen on staging a comeback.
Akhil who is three films old in the industry is yet to score a hit and he is under immense pressure.
