Akhanda Movie social media KammaA lot is riding on Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda. It is the first big-ticket film, featuring a top star to hit the big screens after the Covid second wave. It is essential that Akhanda fares well at the ticket counters as it will be setting the stage for the arrival of other biggies like Pushpa, RRR, Radhe Shyam, and others.

Now, some people publicly have started attributing casteism to Akhanda, saying the Kamma community is building hype to the film by booking the majority of the shows.

They are crying foul on Akhanda and the Kamma community by projecting Balakrishna as the face of the community and saying the people of the community are building fabricated hype to the film.

Well, if casteism is the decisive factor when it comes to the box office fate of a film, then the films of a particular family in Tollywood should all be blockbusters. The said family hails from a certain community that constitutes to the majority of caste-wise population in Andhra Pradesh.

If the community backs the films of the said family heroes, they shouldn’t be facing a single flop. But that isn’t the case. So, it is senseless to say a film can largely benefit from the support from any single community.

Balakrishna’s fans are now saying that Akhanda is the most promising film from Balakrishna in recent times. The film is riding high on buzz, thanks to Balakrishna – Boyapati Sreenu’s combination, and the makers are promoting the film aggressively. The film is likely to put on a stellar show at the box office.

Unable to digest the same, they are trying to belittle Akhanda, and as well as the Kamma community, say Balayya’s fans.

Moreover, it is unfair to attribute casteism to Akhanda. The producer of the film Miryala Ravindra Reddy hails from the Reddy community. Allu Arjun, who attended the pre-release event as the chief guest isn’t from the Kamma community. There is no caste-centric vibe surrounding Akhanda but their job is always try to cry on this particular community even if it sounds dumb!!
